we encountered some dangerously life we
did some salience my god
and we had some other fun words on the
category we should be seeing we today
it's so windy right
yeah Canberra is the holes tend to to
flex under under for so for you to have
access from the master to the galley or
the other side to the bathroom in
inclement weather we don't have to go
outside and I think it's just it's nice
for livability of the boat a little
weaker so we're gonna increase the
strength by adding some pressure tree to
plywood to it and then of course we'll
have whatever we put on the top a gel
coat fiberglass or vinyl or whatever we
choose for the aesthetic part of the
this design for most of the reef that
we've been using battery operated tools
which came in very handy when we were in
the wet slip and all we had to worry
about was charging the batteries I was a
little worried about the strength but
we've been able to cut pipe even
pressure-treated two by fours which are
usually a little harder so I think
they're I think they're what we're gonna
use going forward if we don't have to
plug something in then why bother well
I'm gonna do the big straight sections
yes
that's straighter and then the jig on
the corners I just told you the outside
line I did that's the outside line baby
you know if you did go over a little bit
it's not I'm covering that anyway but I
just well the way the cuts work on the
corners with this is you can't actually
get to the very corner well you did it
you did a good job that's what I'm
saying it's angled so the corner is
still there you don't even need to do
with that that could be just popped out
at the sink I can sand that out and snow
from
hey so we've tucked up under here which
is the side of the catamaran I haven't
gotten to see yet so sleep what do you
think nice yeah
that's already rained on us a little bit
this morning and I'm still gonna paint
painting Smurf said of Papa Smurf your
paintings painter Smurf I feel like
there's no time in this project to waste
any more it's like one project takes two
months stop talking to me sorry
the top and bottom halves of the
bulkhead sit at different depths so
we're going to fill that gap with some
closed cell foam which won't really add
much weight
this is this trying to get the walls
back in the oh yeah that's that's right
okay just feed it to me
of course when the boat was manufactured
there was no roof so the bulkhead
slipped right in and had we not widened
the door by 4 inches on either side we
wouldn't be able to get a nice wide
sheet of plywood like the captain wanted
to use for the strength damn I wish I
cut that right so I could like really
see well it's there okay we just need to
screw we usually work well together but
sometimes they were in the front since
they weren't in the fridges look in the
back I don't know what the hell is going
on with your head acting like that
manatee right up to the boat hi baby
gosh the water is so clear no I know but
I want to
going into town
heading into Big Pine Key and marathon
yes we are alright marathon marina let's
walk down here oh this is a narrow
finger finger pier that's what it's
called yeah awesome
what can I climb on somewhere what does
that say well you can always change it
wherever you are
this is cute have their own little thing
going on at the end
captain's hungry what's this tour to be
over booty tap must be time to go say
one thing and sell you another my mass
is about 35 feet above your water takes
about 10 minutes to lower the mass by
releasing the pin on the fourth day and
just using a winch connected to the to
the mast to lower it it is pretty easy
lower but does get tangled it's kind of
like trying to manage a on a spider web
so anything with a lot of tension on it
I don't have to stop cranking and figure
out why it's not moving freely and
usually pretty easy to correct we try to
point into the waves until we get the
mast raised or lowered and raising it
just is the same steps in Reverse
connecting the four stick and locks the
entire rig in place I can raise or lower
the mass in about 10 minutes so we can
duck under most bridges and the keys it
allows us a lot more flexibility in
where we can cruise
