we were advised by a local to move our

boat from the seaward side to the

harbour you know to the inside because

there's gonna be a bit of a blow later

and you know it's slightly more

sheltered on the harbour side so so

we're DS aside to do that and Bev's put

the boat into reverse and all of a

sudden it started shuttering

we took our tough camera and strapped it

to a pool to see what state the

propeller is in the problem is rather

obvious MJ sailing is that your channel

MJ cook - is that your YouTube channel

yeah this is MJ cook - and he has

volunteered to go to town so he's got

pebble e's wetsuit on big house going on

goggles fits very well but let's say

that the pink might not be your choice

no not really nobody cares down there

mike is a former diver so this is

familiar territory Tim he find that the

netting was not jammed in hard and so we

tied a rope to it and pulled it out

while he works that loose from

underneath the boat the onion but much

better to have it off the boat

well our intrepid diver has elected to

have Chile aboard so Bev's making him

the leftover chili and we've already

done a video on making leftover chili

before so we'll put a link to up here

we're pulling to it so what's the link

to it up here but as you can see we're

gonna have some he wants really good

portions that was his work one mantra so

with the peppers or tomatoes and lots of

onions I think lots of good portions

will be in order

definitely Bev's just made

as us our salad for tonight with and she

just sprinkles it with balsamic vinegar

and basil and olive oil just to so

that's the salad that we're gonna put

out slots the garlic mushrooms and

that's Karluk bread so and their bones

and black pepper

oh it's mushrooms in black pepper and

then our garlic bread so we're going to

have an absolutely fantastic meal here

on Psalm alas

well if you listen this is what a sound

of a boat's sounds like when there's a

bit of a hula going on outside

Bev's adjusted the lines at least three

times going out in their mullions

because that's the right thing to be

wearing and I'm trying to sleep and to

be honest I'm failing miserably and

Beverly's just not even trying I above

that is not wasting the effort to try

and sleep but yeah it's it's what's

commonly known as a bit rock and roll

and this isn't even or Akane over a got

a name on it but it's certainly blowing

it up for my liking

well I can see reflected strip spread

well peps come back into a millions

again seems like there's some going

check things yeah she did

but I've been cells because the rain is

not actually hitting the deck it's game

yeah well she's just gonna have another

go at seeing what she can do this is

probably the scariest time I've ever

spent on the boat well next Ayers is

pointing a ride white lettering like a

cork it's tied up it's got two by nights

spring and a staring light but the wind

lifts it out of the water and I can

actually see under the boat the the

bigger line that's come in cause that

was transferred to the waves I can see

the waves breaking over the back of the

transom there's a big westerly died

there it's really really rockin and

although I thought we were having a

rough night compared to the other people

I think we're having quite a gentle time

that they the ones you're further along

the pontoon by having a far far worse

evening than us and that big westerly

I can't believe how much it's gone up

and down in the waves it's at least as

bigger boulders ours maybe even a touch

bigger yeah we when we were looking at

this pontoon the ones further out we

basically rejected those because they

were windy and it wasn't even in the

blow

so we basically tried to go as close

into the land as we could the motor

Cruiser that's covered its Springs of

stretch and it's not rubbing its buys no

rubbing up against the pontoon and

there's nothing I can do about it

there's just so much force involved that

if I tried to do anything I'd probably

get injured or get swept off the pontoon

it's too dangerous to go out and fiddle

with any of the lines places like that

staying on the boat trendy just mousse

the lights well I have to warn the RF on

China

hang on to our boat everything is in

motion here absolutely everything all

the pontoons all the boats there's

another pontoon behind that it's a

really short beach if everything comes

loose there's nowhere to go absolutely

nowhere this is wearing beige here and

you couldn't go even if you wanted to

because you get swept onto rocks you

couldn't even get out you couldn't even

get out of here but because Bev when we

move we move the boat because we were on

the other side of the pontoon earlier

and there was nowhere near as much wind

as there is now and it was really

difficult to maneuver the boat wasn't

just just just to keep us all going well

the boat just snatching in a ropes and

Bev's outside again you know she's doing

a little fast but honest to goodness

it's just really really bad well Beth

came down like a whirlpool saying

where's the catch - so I've got a thick

hedge rope out because that's nylon and

she's hoping that by replacing a couple

of the lines with a nylon line

I'll just give it a little bit more

stretch so we'll see what happens but

I'm gonna attempt ten number three to go

to sleep I don't think it's going to be

a good attempt to be honest

by morning things would improve

considerably although it was still windy

so what Beverly did in the middle of the

night was she put on it's actually our

nylon Road which is for our our spare

anchor but she put that on and because

the nylon road has got stretch salty

lasts stopped

snatching which meant she was in the

slip a lot better but damage-wise I

don't know if you can see it but this

fur lead has been pulled out slightly so

what we're gonna have to do with that is

unscrew it and just have a look at the

fiberglass just below it it has got it

has been pulled out by the constant

yanking and you can see just how much

it's been pulled there so that's some of

the damage it's not really damaged her

it's just there's a black strip on the

pontoons here and we've certainly got an

awful lot of black which we've got to

pull off the benders and but we've only

got a little bit of transfer on to salty

so us so it's just the fenders that got

it in the neck rather than that big blue

his wire is why I need sorting out so

that's got to be done but anyway we're

down here at Isle a much nicer day but

we had a little problem with the

electrics and what it was was right here

at the end there is a circuit breaker

for the whole pontoon and it was

actually the whole pontoon electrics

that had gone so if you ever hear at

Islay which I have to say is a stunning

little place when it's beautiful it

really is beautiful but I can tell you

now when it's not so beautiful when the

weather turns and a bit ropey it's

horrible we decided to cheer ourselves

up by walking to the nearest ER celery's

it's about a half hour walk with whisky

at the end of it well we're at Laphroaig

distillery and Bev and I became friends

of Laphroaig just so that we could be

forget a grind room cracked our ground

rent

so this is our ground ground rent we

drown but you get one of these every

year but we do have to

get come down to the distillery to get

it but I think I'll enjoy that later

we spent a bit too long at Laphroaig

so the Gavilan was shut when we arrived

well currently Beverly's doing chicken

wrapped in Palmer hunk with some chips

and mushrooms so this is going to be our

tea for the night

one things in you do not lose staff on

salty laughs cuz that chicken in Parma

ham is going to be absolutely that's

dinner and I don't know about you but I

think that looks pretty down scrumptious

can tell it's a sunny day here ila

look at these pontoons everybody's left

I know and even we're ready to get ready

for sleep well bye bye poor Ellen yeah

and apparently there's another

distillery we didn't even know about so

if you do come here it's definitely

whiskey girl or not you sure if that one

is whiskey but we'll find out oak gainer

it's a distillery and a but it could be

beer what
