so yesterday we left Cross Island

hopefully it's the last time for a while

this we've been back and forward because

of the sale and we collected some fuel

some diesel for our trip and some water

and it came to 128 euro which is

actually back to the neutral

there's a castle on the hill there which

apparently is a little bit rundown but

it's beautiful to walk up to very very

steep and there's the time and we're

gonna go into the bay on the time to

bakery I didn't think there'd be this

many cars on this road I know he's a bit

hot but it's sticky there is a breeze

but it's still really sticky is in fact

the last couple of days have been so

humid I know it smells gorgeous isn't so

I've got a laundry service here no idea

something we've arrived he enters the

castle right yeah he doesn't stand out

as being the main entrance but

here we found the entrance so we're in

castle or Castro we are actually room by

the Turks for quite a while to the

Ottoman Empire it they collected the

taxes once a year and then left which

was obviously a great Christian

settlement alone most of the time the

problems of piracy and everything else

used to mean that everybody came into

the castle to take shelter then in the

earthquake of Santorini I don't know

anyway it all fell apart no longer tried

to make plans to rebuild it and it would

be able to because of bureaucracy so one

absolute shame because it's amazing well

after the earthquake and everything to

the tumbled down like a pack of cards

apparently and one of the Timbers and

other substantial building materials

were actually robbed and used further

down in the town so I shouldn't if they

ever got done to rebuild it and then of

course like I said because of a

bureaucracy that was involved in

rebuilding it no but no nobody really

known who owned the land and we finally

got down to the harbor u-boats in not

too many

boat three way in the distance down

so it shouldn't take too long and it

doesn't look to be a massive amount of

wind we've got five knots at home and

so kind of hoping that'll pick up

slightly and we'll be able to get them

to sail

today we're left Simmi about 12 o'clock

lunchtime so we stopped off and got some

a little bit of shopping provisions and

some water from one of the local bars

which is brilliant unfortunately it

seems to be reading first rain we've had

in all months which is actually quite

nice because it will wash the boat off

quite nicely as you can see the sky is

really dark not very pretty

we've lost the sudden so where are we

actually going which is a little Bay on

the south west side of semi monastery on

the hillsides and I think there's one

maybe even two buildings on there we've

been told it's actually very pretty but

and that's where the nothing looks

particularly pretty does it so we

arrived at panel mattes yesterday and

cloudy

so we've got today to kind of keep an

eye on the weather and decide what to do

the chances are it's going to improve a
