hello YouTube it's been a while since we
updated on anything we've been a bit
busy at the end of the summer but
actually we thought we'd share one of
our passage plans over to Weymouth and
give you a bit more detail about how we
did that we averaged around five knots
across the ground and whilst you can get
from Port zone over to Weymouth in
pretty much a day we had the stinky Mort
on board and trying to keep two kids
amused we thought actually would be
better off to stopover in Paul for the
night this allows us to get the dog off
the boat and also gives us something to
do with the kids in the afternoon the
tides were against us for the first
couple of hours but we should reach the
needles around slack water and then we
got the tide with us all the way until
Paul our microphone was not playing ball
here so unfortunately we lost some of
the footage but the wind was basically
dead ahead of us and it was only really
blowing at 8 to 10 knots so rather than
take all the way through the solo and
kind of miss our tide window we decided
to put on the motor the weather had
forecasters our southerly but indeed
just as we set off it decided become a
westerly but hopefully might shift
around later we thought and then it then
we'd actually get the sails up properly
over in Paul we were planning to stay
either porky or Sultans now we would
anchor out and stood in bay but the dog
and the kids night ashore in Paul was
more favorable for all the crew even
though it meant passing study Bay again
in the morning

we ended up at late yard out on a
swinging more in in any case and that's
because there was an event on in pool
and there was no room at the end the
tide was quite strong here women rolled
up and the trip into the marina in our
little dinghy with its three and a half
horsepower outboard laden with both the
kids and the dog was quite slow process
but we didn't go into the yachtsman in
pub and I definitely remember recommend
that place some great food there we left
just before lunch to basically catch
slack water at dilson head this meant we
had the tide running with us for most of
the journey over to week
