you
well we're just about to get our
adventure started up in the San Juan
Islands which are in the Pacific
Northwest San Juans are some of the most
beautiful islands on the face of the
earth and they just happen to be in our
backyard so I'm pretty lucky about that
there's roughly 400 islands in this
group so it gives us plenty of area to
explore and roam around and do a pretty
good shakedown on the boat before we
head down the coast of Mexico and beyond
so we're pretty excited to be here and
be back on both and Fleury now we've had
a few months in the boatyard that were
pretty hectic and stressful so today
we're just going to head over to Friday
Harbor which is about a six to eight
hour trip and take a few days to just
kind of decompress relax
get our sea legs back and have some fun
pretty lucky to have these islands in
our backyard and we're going to do our
best to show you a little bit before we
head down the coast so here we go
Oh
Friday harbors the big city appear it's
not only a perfect place to start a
summer cruise through the islands it's
also a perfect place to eat - it's true
they've got the freshest zucchini well
great farmers market
for
- really
you
you I'm not here down
where
I haven't seen it
found some great local live music and we
have tons fun just roaming around Moody
after a few days of playing tourists and
Friday Harbor it's time to pick up the
anchor doing left
today we're heading to Jones Island
still got
no in fact we've got about three knots
of wind so we're motoring a little
disappointing got a new mast and haven't
been able to sail yet we
and out for a few days and it has been
black foam
so you get what you get
but it's been great the weather for the
last couple of days has been kind of
rainy and gray and cold so it's nice to
at least get some Sun and be out but
Brenda's back there driving so I get to
hang out and just check out the views
made it to read Harbor
Brenda's already upset we have no phone
covers the one bad thing about this
place nothing it's just the two of us
he'll stay along me last year
the anchored in Reed Harbor not only
because it's beautiful place but because
of the good stretch of weather you can
get some last-minute boat projects done
one of the things that's been high on
our list is to repaint the decks new
night ski so Brenda's been busy sanding
scraping and chipping away the old loose
stuff
you
you
while we were busy working on the boat
this guy seemed to have the right idea
he was going sailing
after all that work we now have non-skid
instead of extra steel
and what do you know they look for you
we spent about a week in Reed harbor
just working on the boat with the 25
knots southerly forecasted we could take
it no more
it was time to go sailing
we're life's long sale become stiff
breeze
saw the moonshine or on that next time
