when the day is to come back home
you
well we're back here at our home marina
Clark's marina here in Gananoque way and
of course this is a few of our Mirage 29
today we'd like to give you a little bit
of a tour of our boat want to be doing
some work on it today insulating the
engine compartment so it's a good data
to sort of give you an overview of our
little our little home on the water
hi captain Robert here we're aboard the
saralyn and I wanted to give you a just
a little a little quick tour of our boat
just working my way up to the v-berth
got a little little cupboard in there
little shelves and and stuff for for our
books and things we don't actually use
this very much mostly ends up for
storage but it does does sleep quite
comfortably I've slept in here before
and it it's it so there's a lot of room
if you're big people it's a little
cramped but for the average sized person
it's it's fine so we're gonna move back
a little bit into the into the salah'
area other nice things about that be
birth it's got a it's got its own hatch
and there's another hatch right here in
the in the salah' area these are the
silent seats they're real nice this one
here actually folds out into a double
bed
that's a double leaf table that leaf
there folds down and makes a nice
comfortable sleeping area it's perfect
for when you're on watch to sleep in
that area then there's another another
silo
seating over on this Sun on the
starboard side moving back a little bit
that's our galley that's my coffee so
I'm just gonna grab that
this particular boat has pressurized
water which is kind of nice and nice
stainless steel sink propane stove an
oven moving to the to the aft is our
captain's berth now that's that's a
double berth I don't know how well you
can see it on the video it's got its own
hatch era sorry its own portal which
goes out into the to the cockpit area
plus another one up in here there's a
nice little hanging closet here for your
stuff so it doesn't get wrinkled and
this is usually where I sleep because
it's just lots of space back here again
aft and as you can see yeah this is a
European design i philip harley and
that's our hot water heater toilet and
sink and it's got a little shower in
there little drain down below so you can
actually have a nice shower in here if
you want and that's at the EDS at the
back of the boat which is kind of nice
one of the things I didn't like about my
old boat was that the head was near the
the v-berth so when you were sleeping
then you you know somebody used the head
if disturbed your sleep and also you
know older boats give off a little bit
of smell so that was nice now coming up
the companionway we come into our
cockpit area that's our steering wheel
and binnacle as you can see we have a
auto pilot on this boat I'm just gonna
come back around and sit in the
captain's chair so that's our that's our
autopilot over here is our depth gauge
and auto pilot control head this is an e
V 100 by Ray marine and it's a really
good unit I really like it
we mounted our chartplotter up here on
the binnacle we we used a
just an oak box which we built and that
houses the chartplotter real well and we
can you can see it and use it very
conveniently you'll you'll notice the
way we have the cockpit set up all the
room all the lines and and such lead to
the back
that's our sleeping gear there it just
come back from the laundry and our
barbecue
granny card of course can't leave home
without your granny card so this is also
a new dodger and connecting piece which
we got from the top shop which is
Kingston based canvas company yeah they
did a beautiful job at a very reasonable
price so that's our Mirage 29 so
basically that's our boat and you're
welcome aboard anytime thank you very
much for watching this is Captain Robert
